Flaw 24: Corporation proposes drilling, intensive development at the mouth of the Rogue River

A Measure 37 claim for 1,600 acres has been filed for a wide array of development where the Rogue River meets the Pacific Ocean at Gold Beach. Knox, Baird, & Davis, Inc. demands $32 million in compensation or land use waivers to allow an itemized list of 48 separate uses, including: land-based exploration for minerals and gas, gravel removal and screening, commercial utilities, an RV park, siting of mobile homes, a destination resort, and commercial and residential development.
