Flaw 31: Massive subdivision high on Steens Mountain?

A Measure 37 claim has been filed to sell off 640 one-acre lots near Fish Lake in Harney County for residential development. The BLM and conservation groups have been exploring ways to preserve the natural environment and recreation opportunities around Steens Mountain — one of Oregon’s special places — but Measure 37 threatens to accelerate private land speculation around this remote area.
